fourteen lucky North Texans have been selected as winners of prizes ranging from a new Honda to a cordless telephone in the KERA Channel 13 Jubilee of Prizes.

Early Bird prize. Dewi Hale of Richardson will enjoy a five-day voyage for two to Europe aboard the Queen Elizabeth 2, courtesy of Cunard Line Ltd. Grand prize winner Robert G. Bender of Denton will receive a new Honda CRX HF from Eagle Honda.

First prize in the Jubilee of Prizes, a 57.5-carat amethyst from Jewels by Batky, goes to a winner who has asked to remain anonymous. Ray Flachmeier of Richardson will collect second prize, a family portrait in oils by Dallas artist Ann Cushing Gantz. Third prize, a diamond bracelet from Dallas Rare Coin & Jewelry, goes to Mrs. Dan W. Krausse of Dallas; and L.E. Adams of Irving will spend a week in Acapulco, courtesy of Jerry Lynn.

Fifth prize in Channel 13’s Jubilee of Prizes, a weekend in Los Angeles, goes to Dave Stevens of Sherman, courtesy of the Westin Bonaventure and Braniff Air. Another trip, this time to Mexico City, awaits sixth prize winner Phillip Green of Dallas, courtesy of the Carnino Real Hotel.

Kim A. Taylor of Wichita Falls can look in on someone special via her seventh prize: a pair of video telelphonca from Mitsubishi Visual Telecom Division. Eighth prize, awarded to Helen Haken of Richardson, is a relaxing weekend for two at the Horseshoe Bay Country Club Resort outside Austin.

Ninth prize, won by Richardson’s Karen Klein, is a unique “year in the arts” that features tickets and memberships to Channel 13 and a dozen area museums, theaters, and other cultural institutions.

Tenth prize, a combination wall phone and cordless phone from the Sharper Image at Preston Center, goes to Craig Waldrop of Dallas. Wine Emporium Inc. provides the eleventh prize, a wine-tasting party won by Robert E. Skaggs of Dallas. Twelfth prize, won by L.J. Strauss of Piano, is a pricelss Al Hirschfeld print of Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy, with museum-quality framing The Clifford Gallery.
