IRONY, WHAT IRONY?

|

First, no one should ever read or take seriously Metro columnist Jacquielynn Floyd, given that this is Day 58 of using her badly outdated mug shot, starting from the day the DMN promo-ed its new Metro blog with recent photos of the whole gang. Not that we’re counting. (Ditto bad on Jeffers and Ragland, and kudos to Blow, Jacobson, and Parks for going current/honest.)

But if you did accidentally read Floyd’s typing today about the awful burdens of the mayor’s job, could the photo-fraud-perpetrating pundit have been blind to her own phrase?

But Dallas unaccountably clings to an outdated, no-win political model to which we endlessly circle back…

Our campaign for visual honesty, even with an item in the “Pulse” section (p.22) of our July issue, seems endless, so in honor of heading into the third month of disinformation, may we suggest bed-table reading for her and the page-design editors: The Picture of Dorian Gray.
