Thumbs down to the Bush administration for its blatant hypocrisy for proposing to cut funds for the V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor plane and the OH-58 Scout helicopter, which would result in the loss of as many as 2,000 jobs in Dallas/Fort Worth. Funny. Just last fall, you’ll recall. Bush and his Texas cohorts were moaning about all the defense-related jobs that would vanish if the Democrats won the White House. Remember the blitz of ads with tough-talkin’ battery salesman Chuck Yeager, warning us about Dukakis, that military-hating peacenik? Whew. Good thing that guy didn’t get elected.
