Thumbs up to Congressman JOHN BRYANT, D -Dallas, for leading the fight against the ill-advised constitutional amendment banning flag desecration. Amid the political posturing, Bryant argued that we shouldn’t let a few fanatics stampede us into altering our most revered document. The republic will survive the whining of these gnats. Too bad Bryant’s Republican opponent, JERRY rucker, doesn’t share his faith.
