Fashion often looks to the past to create present trends. This spring’s collections were no exception. Many hinted at past eras, including the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s. Prepare to show some leg, ladies. The hemline is on the rise thanks to minidresses and above-the-knee skirts. And if the season’s bold colors are too much for you, rely on black and white, which continue to be a staple in almost every collection.

Here we show a look by Luca Luca with a ’60s flair. The cropped jacket and subtle hint of volume in the skirt keep this look modern, while a ’60s-inspired cloche hat makes it chic. Beauty trend: use a palette of pinks and silvers to create the latest look. A pink pout is a must.

Meredith is wearing Luca Luca skirt ($850) and jacket ($1,300), both available at Luca Luca; Josh Goot black tank ($130/Premium 93-LFT); The Opera Collection stainless steel mesh cuff bracelet ($121/Fitting Gifts at The Fitting Room); Tory Burch hat  ($225/Tory Burch).
