Each Labor Day Weekend, Bedford turns into funky town. The Bedford Blues and BBQ Festival is a three- day party that draws blues musicians from all over the county. This year, Dr. John and Trombone Shorty will headline the annual event. Here’s the full lineup.

On Friday, September 2, the event hosts the Foreman’s Backyard BBQ Competition. Amateurs are invited to compete in two classes: chicken and ribs. The top three competitors in each division will receive cash or a trophy. A special $200 prize and “King of the Backyard” trophy will be presented to the Grand Champion.
