My calendar tells me it’s the first day of Spring, so I’m personally taking the night to celebrate. Here’s to warmer weather, actually making late night plans, and tonight’s shows:

Le1f, Dark Rooms, Vulgar Fashion (Double Wide): As the newest addition to the Red Bull Sound Select Dallas series, New York rapper/producer Le1f will take to the Double Wide stage in support of his recently released Hey EP. Since his debut in 2011, Le1f’s rapid-fire flows, witty lyrics and interesting beats have stirred up quite a bit of talk among indie rap fans, earning the Ugandan-born artist a comfortable spot in the New York  scene. His television debut on Letterman—equipped with dancers, Hood by Air fashions, and a full backing band led by singer-songrwriter Blood Orange—has led to an increased profile. With the Double Wide being such a small stage, this is a possible sell out. He’ll be supported by by local acts, Dark Rooms and Vulgar Fashion.

Y&T: With a career spanning four decades, Oakland natives Y&T (originally known as Yesterday and Today) have been carrying a torch for metal since 1976. Despite frequent label and lineup changes, the band made many contributions to hard rock, especially in the 1980. In 2010, they returned after a lengthy hiatus with Facemelter, which has garnered the band the most acclaim to date, surprising for such a long-running act. They’ll be performing at Trees tonight, with Honey and Blackout as support.

Classixx: This Los-Angeles based DJ duo will be spinning tracks, cuts, and everything else at House of Blues in support of their debut album Hanging Gardens. The D.C. dream pop duo Gems will support.

A special “vogue” edition of Colly T‘s VIBE residency will be going down at The Beauty Bar; DJ Spacechase will be taking over Andy’s once again with Subsonic Indulgence; DJ Sober’s The Basement residency will be taking place once again at The Travis; and DJ Spinderella and co. will be spinning their Mobile Mondays NYC: Dallas residency at The Crown & Harp, along with an appearance by Gensu Dean.

Finally, upstairs at Crown and Harp tonight will be “Lost Generation” which will feature live improvisations as well as a guest appearance by Dallas-based artist, Spacebar. Spacebar is a solo performer who mixes hardware, drums, with beats and electronics. Go ahead and watch the following video rather than listen to me explain it:
