And at just 90 minutes from DFW, it’s a wonder that they aren’t all spoken for.

Luxurious Lakefront Lots Pose Limitless Options for Weekend Play

Just an hour and a half from the hustle and bustle of DFW, there’s a mythical stretch of land that actually has open lots for sale on the lake. Nope, it’s not a mirage. It’s real life, and White Bluff Resort is actually everything we never knew that we always wanted and needed in our busy lives. Here’s why.

For starters, lots are VERY affordable. We are talking plots of land in a gated community that range from 16-100k with homes starting at just $200k. So whether you are a young family that is looking to build your dream vacation home or a recent retiree who is looking to flee the city without being too far away from the grandkids, this is an ideal situation for all.

The second thing we love about the White Bluff Resort is its location on Lake Whitney. It allows for premiere fishing with a private marina. The marina has slips and storage options available for rent for community residents and their guests. Boating gives guests access to more than 225 miles of shoreline with limestone bluffs, secluded covers, and most importantly uncongested water. There are also multiple catch and release ponds on the property.

Any golfers in the family? This community has two Acris-managed, championship golf courses that have recently undergone huge renovations to both the greens and the fairways. As a resident of the community, you have access to both clubhouses, pro shops, and Acris Golf’s network of courses. Both of these courses were designed by 13-time PGA tour winner Bruce Lietzke, so you know, they are kind of a big deal.

Kiddos also love escaping to White Bluff Resort because of the five swimming pools stretched out over the 3,500 acres of community. Two words: waterfall pool. Your kids will never be the same after spending an afternoon getting out all of their energy at this massive waterhole. Have people who want to visit (and you will, trust us)? There are fully furnished local condos and log cabins for rental in addition to nearby campgrounds and RV parks for those down for a little outdoor adventure.

It’s safe to say that we are gung ho about this community, and can you blame us? It’s affordable, packed with amenities, and not too far from our home base. Because as much as we’d all love a home in Aspen or Cabo, getting the family and all of the stuff on an airplane each weekend isn’t very realistic. Life at White Bluff Resort maximizes weekend fun and minimizes the stress of second homeownership, and we can definitely dig it.
