Longtime readers know how much I loved The Shining jewelry shop on Henderson and that I am still grieving its loss. (But I did happen to find one of the lines that was carried, Blood Milk, online at Etsy.com.) I was sad when the shop closed not only because of my affection for Victoria’s jewelry, but the loss of a great shopping moment on that Pearl Cup corner, alongside We Are 1976. But there is good news. Milk + Honey, a new women’s boutique, opens doors tomorrow evening on the Pearl Cup row for their grand opening fête. Brittany Thomas, 25-year-old retail veteran is behind this Anthropologie-esque shop. Photos show off lots and lots of prints, flowy blouses, and scarves, but I’m looking forward to seeing the store in person tomorrow night. If you can’t make the party, the official first day of business is this Friday, October 21. Doors open at 10 am.
