Will you be the next Erin Wasson?

It’s that time of year again. If you’re itching to get into the modeling biz and are between 14 and 22 years old and 5’7” to 6’ in height (for females) or ages 16–24 and 5’11” to 6’3” in height (for males) then strut on over to NorthPark’s NorthCourt (between Nordstrom and Macy’s) on August 22 from 1-4pm and give it your all. You could join the ranks of former winners like Maybelline face Erin Wasson (the first winner – who has also graced the pages of D Magazine), runway star Mimi Roche, Abercrombie & Fitch model Chaise Mooty and Teen Vogue stars Ali Michael and Jessica Cline. Over 1,500 hopefuls try out each year but only one can be the Fashion Dallas/Kim Dawson Model Search winner. At the open-call you will submit an application, get your photo taken by Larry Travis, who we have used for many D photo shoots, and walk the runway. Head shots will appear on CW33’s website, where the public will vote and choose one lucky semi-finalist!. The 2009 winner will receive a one-year contract with Kim Dawson Agency and a prize package from NorthPark Center including $1,000 in NorthPark Gold. He/she will also appear in a commercial promoting CW33.

And if you’re busy on Saturday, but dream of a career on the catwalk, fear not. Applications, which can be found at dallasnews.com/modelsearch, will be accepted via mail until August 24.
