This Bryan Place brownstone has so much going for it, and, at $359,900, I could order three to go. First of all, it has a famous owner: John Hammarley of Fox News fame, now the senior communications director at Susan B. Komen for the Cure Foundation. He also runs, from this lovely abode, Hammarley Productions, a video production and social networking company that specializes in custom videos and consulting for professionals. You can tell that Hammarley is a real estate junkie, because his home is in perfect order, from the Mr. Clean first-level garage to the bubbling rooftop hot tub and pergola with magnificent 360-degree views of the city. Built in 1985, the home features a 35-by-85-foot lot, 2,496 square feet, two bedrooms, study, two living areas, and more deck space than many higher-priced downtown condos. Hammarley bought the home in 2002 and updated it as if he was on design steroids: petrified oak columns and beams, vaulted ceilings, a two-story stone fireplace, and a second-floor wood deck with retractable awning that has direct access to the sweet spot: that rooftop deck and party tub hot tub.

Of note: bedroom one is on the first level and features a living area with fireplace and wet bar, which means this home would be perfect for roomies, a cute boarder, or even in-laws, because a whole floor separates the master from this level, if you get my drift. The updated master suite comprises the entire third floor, with dual vanities, walk-in shower, and soaking tub set off with slate floors.

My only beef about this house is the many levels, which will keep you in constant motion on the steps. But, really, that’s a good thing: all that stair-climbing ought to make your buns tight enough to show off in the hot tub.
