How long have you been in Dallas?
Since 1989.
What’s your favorite Dallas restaurant?
I am a huge fan of Mercat Bistro. It is right around the corner and offers a great menu in a setting that is reminiscent of both NYC and Europe.
What’s your ideal way to spend a weekend in Dallas?
My favorite weekends include riding along White Rock Lake on my bike then having lunch at the Arboretum. Bonus would be a visit to the Balcony Club that night. I also enjoy a visit to the Arts District weaving through the DMA, Nasher, and Crow Collection. Bonus would be taking in a great performance by the DSO at our world-class symphony center. A chill Saturday is spent exploring the flagship Half Price Books on Northwest Highway with lunch at Henk’s European Deli.
Are you involved with any local charities?
I attend many charity events but am not yet connected to a particular one. I plan on starting a charity in the next 12 months that will improve the lives of every Dallas resident.
What’s your favorite thing about Dallas?
The range of options for great experiences. We have so many incredible areas including Bishop Arts District, Harwood District, Deep Ellum, the Arts District (I do a walking tour of this area for friends and family that includes Fountain Plaza and the cathedral.), Uptown, and many more. The people are also amazing.
What’s your favorite Dallas Landmark?
I am blessed to be able to see the Ball, Pegasus, and Perot Museum from my balcony, which makes for a spectacular view—especially at night.
What’s one thing you would change about the city?
Make it more walkable/bikeable. Complete the Trinity River Project!
