Stroll through the hot spots at Southlake Town Center
|

Southlake Town Center

This David Schwarz-designed shopping center is bustling with affluent,
upscale moms and kids from Southlake, Colleyville, Grape-vine, Keller,
Westlake, and Trophy Club. Popular retailers such as Crate & Barrel (817-421-8003), Banana Republic (817-416-6324), Storehouse (817-422-5500), and Harold’s
(817-421-9449) attract a crowd. But you’ll forget all about those when
you stumble upon Southlake Town Center’s more intriguing boutiques.
Enter off the boulevard and you’ll immediately spot the Glass Slipper
(817-329-0585). This snazzy shop sells chic and unique pieces from
designers such as Rebecca Taylor, See by Chloe, Nanette Lepore, and
Trina Turk. Across the way, on State Street, you’ll find Magic Moon
(817-329-3112), a children’s store specializing in custom furniture and
bedding, with some creative takes on teacups. Next door, step into the
vibrant Animal Crackers (817-416-6246), where you’ll find
designer lines such as Nicole Miller and Betsy Johnson for the kids, as
well as the latest in Juicy for yourself. On Main Street, you’ll spot
some fun and fancy knickknacks and stationery at the Paper Closet ((pictured above) 817-416-6909). For the latest in casual attire by Michael Stars or Citizens of Humanity, pop in to Taylor G (817-329-6299). The tiny Bless Your Heart (817-488-2483) offers spiritual and inspirational books and accessories. Next door, at Barse Jewelers (817-310-0996), you can find an abundant selection of chandelier earrings. Make your way down to the other end of Main for B. Whitman
(no phone number at press time) to pick up a pair of comfortable shoes,
which will be much needed after your stroll in the square.

Discount Divas
Savvy shoppers can save 10 to 25 percent at 17 area resale stores, including Revente Upscale Resale, with the Discount Divas-n-Dudes savings card. Visit the fun web site (www.discountdivas.net), where sisters Missy Miller Hill and Pam Miller Baston share
stories from the bargain battlefield, entertaining shopping tips, and trash-to-treasure makeover ideas.

A Belt for Your Bubbly
Partygoers on the move can carry their Moët & Chandon in style with the Moët Belt ($45), an insulated tote with flutes that float. Thanks to a trend in yacht racing, fashion house Louis Vuitton teamed up with the wine maker to create this great accessory. Available online at www.vivre.com or call 800-411-6515.

Lip Smacked
We’re addicted to Kiehl’s lip balm No. 1. But now we’ve got another reason to be lip-gloss junkies: Lip Balm SPF 15.
For just $7.50, you can protect your delicate kisser and add a hint of
color, such as golden berry or black raspberry. Next time you hit the
streets or slopes, slather on this balm, and you’re good to go. Available at Neiman Marcus, NorthPark Center. 214-363-8311.
