The brainchild of Brian Tehan and Dallas-based Wall Street Limousine Company, Limaxi (that’s limousine and taxi combined), say its owners, is the first no-minimum commercial limousine in the country. Customers pay $18.50 for the first twenty minutes and fifteen cents per 1/10 mile thereafter. (Most limousine companies require you to pay for at least three hours.) Tehan says his system saves the customer an average of 65 percent off the cost of a standard limo ride and is the perfect solution for those who want to take one step up from a cab. Limaxi service from downtown Dallas to D/FW Airport is $26.50 plus gratuity, as compared to (21.50 for cab fare and $60 to $125 for limousine service.
