DALLAS City of Winners

CHAPEL SONG
|

God is not bound by walk of stone And yet He blesses mine Because they honor Him.

So come within, pilgrim, and let your spirit Bathe and bask in filtered light From which the haste and worry of A fretful world Have also been refracted and removed.

Although I rest here rooted deep in earth, My spirit as my spire soars skyward, Both symbols of a future hope Through faith in Him whose light triumphed forever Over darkness and despair – yes, even over death.

So mourn not, pilgrim, instead I say rejoice. Without life’s shadows, light cannot prevail. Without the shade, we savor not the sun. Life’s times of grief raise up in shouts of joy And death’s midnight departure Turns but a final page To dawn’s eternal bright and glorious morning.
