Sales in 1977 Already in the $ Millions

Because of an extremely active 1976 and strong market projections for 1977, Shaddock and Cook doubled its crews and production capacity for the current year. Even this increase in output has failed to keep up with the demand for Shaddock and Cook homes – most homes are sold before or soon after they are completed.

The Shaddock and Cook name is so well extablished for unique design and quality construction that over half of its production is now composed of contract homes for buyers who want this exceptional quality level in a specially-designed home for their families.

Shaddock and Cook is presently building in most of the well-known subdivisions in North Dallas. In addition, they are embarking on five little known and unique residential developments, each having unusual design or natural environment characteristics. One project will include elegant townhouses in Bent Tree Royal, with golf course and lake among large, native trees. These town-houses will sell from $125,000 and up.

A number of luxury duplexes are under construction in Highlands North in the Richardson school district. These double units will be priced in the $175,000 price range. Shaddock and Cook has just purchased a large block of lots in a new subdivision on Preston Road just north of Arapaho. The lots are estate size and will have homes around $200,000. It is also in the Richardson School District and is the first development of this type since Northwood Hills Estates.

Forest Park Meadows is located south of Forest Lane and east of Preston. Homes will be priced from $ 150,000 to $250,000 and will be built among large trees surrounding a lake. Oak Highlands on Abrams Road is in the Lake Highlands area It is almost completely wooded with pecan and oak trees on rolling hills, and is in the Richardson School District. Homes will be from $125,000 to $200,000.

Despite its widespread building operation, Shaddock and Cook principals still find the time for personal contact with buyers.
