Sprinkles Cupcakes bakery, which opens early this month in Preston Center, will offer a modern take on the yummy classics, including red velvet, chai latte, and refreshing lemon ginger, baked in small batches throughout the day and served in an unexpectedly stylish setting. Like its award-winning Beverly Hills sibling, which won an AIA Restaurant Design award, the Dallas sweetshop is designed by architect Andrea Lenardin Madden and will feature wood-paneled interiors and chocolate-colored walls (of course). The East Hampton staple Home, James! opens in mid-March on Travis Street inside Travis Walk, bringing with it fine bone china and exclusive hand-cut crystal collections manufactured in England. Owners Josef Schreick and David Cipperman travel the world to bring back exceptional product for the store. Check out the whimsical web page, www.homejameseasthampton.com, until the doors open.
