If last nights Catalog Preview Party is any indication of what is to come at the upcoming 20th Anniversary Cotes du Coeur International Fine Wine Auction and Chef Celebration Dinner we are in for a fantastic event.  In the posh setting of the Samuel Lynne Galleries, surrounded by artwork from a variety of artists including none other than Dallas Restaurateur Phil Romano, the catalogue for this years event was revealed…and wow….there are some great items up for auction this year!

Over King Estate  Pinot Gris and Acrobat Pinot Noir  guests flowed through the gallery noshing on bites provided by Central Market, viewing the art and perusing the big ticket items for the auction, including a wine get away to Australia, an incredible Yountville wine experience with dinner at The French Laundry, a fly fishing get away to Jackson Hole with Chef Richard Chamberlain, and perhaps the best lot of the year – a 34 bottle donation in honor of David White.

David was passionate about many things in Dallas, including the opera, symphony and the growing theater scene.  He loved great wine and the comraderie that sharing wine brought.  He passed too young, and this auction lot represents the depth and variety that David White brought to each of his friends that contributed to this 34 bottle lot, including a 100 point 1982 Chateau Mouton Rothschild, a 96 point 1986 Pichon Lalande, a 98 point 2004 Marcassin Vineyard Pinot Noir and a 95 point 2001 Chateau Montelena Estate Cabernet Sauvignon.

Festivities start at 6:30 on April 9th with 18 of the best chefs in Dallas, led by Richard Chamberlain, and 30 different wineries including Merry Edwards, Coquerel, Revana, Peju and more at the Hilton Anatole.  More information available here.
