D CEO welcomed 400 attendees on September 15, for its fourth annual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Symposium. The event was held at the Renaissance Dallas Hotel and brought together the organizations and leaders working to make workplaces more inclusive and equitable.
D Magazine Partners President Gillea Allison welcomed the guests, while Publisher Noelle LeVeaux and D CEO, editor Christine Perez moderated the panels. The opportunities to connect were strengthened through two networking sessions.
Candid panels and presentations from top leaders focused in the theme “The Business of Belonging,” and provided a crucial backdrop for insightful conversations, lessons learned, and key takeaways. Here is a glimpse into the half-day Symposium:
“From Bias to Belonging” with Lisa M. Ong, founder of Wishing Out Loud.
“The Journey to Belonging” featuring Eric Bradley of Thomson Reuters, Brad Pritchett of Dallas Museum of Art, Dylan Rafaty of C-Hear and North Texas Disability Chamber, and Jeanette Schutz of Dallas College.
“Finding Our Way: One Company’s Journey to Equity” with Brad Ramsey, President and General Manager at WFAA
