There’s a new option on the market for you lucky folks looking for a second abode in a tropical locale. Kukui’ula on the island of Kauai celebrated its grand opening in June, and it has lots to offer. The 1,010-acre luxury residential community features custom ocean-view home sites as well as signature cottages. Cottages range from 1,500 to 3,800 square feet and start at $2.2 million. Custom home sites start at $1 million. Amenities on the property include a private club facility, a 20,000-square-foot spa, a 50-acre working organic farm for owners and guests, and an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Tom Weiskopf.
