Multiple Healthcare Systems Eyeing Prospective, $250M Mesquite Medical Center

|

The Mesquite City Council has green-lighted a 60-acre, $250-million medical development at Interstate 635 and the Gross Road exit in Mesquite. It could bring as many as 1,800 jobs to the area.

The developers are in talks with “multiple interested healthcare systems” and other providers, as the Dallas Morning News reports. They’ll partner on more than 600,000 square feet of medical space. Construction is set to begin mid-2019 on the mixed-use facility.

As the DMN points out, about 2,200 people work in healthcare in Mesquite currently, so this is a huge get for the area. Find the paper’s coverage here.
