|

Two Dallas hospital system chief executive officers were among 30 U.S. recipients of the inaugural Becker’s Healthcare Leadership Awards.

Baylor Health Care System CEO Joel Allison has “forged ahead with ‘Vision 2015,’ the strategic plan he launched in 2010,” the magazine said. It also noted the creation of Baylor Quality Alliance, the system’s accountable care organization, and the system’s membership in the national High Value Healthcare Collaborative.

Stephen Mansfield, president and CEO of Methodist Health Care System, “has expanded (the system) rapidly, increasing both capacity and services offered.” The magazine noted its new rehabilitation hospital, two joint-venture hospitals, the 2012 expansion of the Women’s Pavilion at Methodist Mansfield, the $135 million expansion of Methodist Dallas Medical Center, and the construction of Methodist Charlton Medical Center, scheduled to be completed by summer 2014.
