With the recent landmark Supreme Court decision, it’s no surprise that John Roberts, Chief Justice of the United States, ranked No. 1 on Modern Healthcare’s 2012 “100 Most Influential People in Healthcare” list. Aetna Chairman Mark Bertolini came in at No. 2; Oregon Gov. Dr. John Kitzhaber was ranked third, followed by U.S. President Barack Obama.

Three Dallas-Fort Worth healthcare execs also made the list: Baylor’s Joel Allison (No. 18), Tenet’s Trevor Fetter (No. 30), and Texas Health Resource’s Doug Hawthorne (No. 59). Only one other Texan ranked: Dan Wolterman, president and CEO of Memorial Hermann Healthcare System.
