Just a little counterbalance for all that Guinness drinking.

Many of us look forward to St. Patrick’s Day for two things we don’t normally get to consume: green beer and corned beef. Earn your Guinness and maybe even gain a little extra luck by breaking a sweat before the festivities. Here, we rounded up five appropriately-themed workouts to start your day off strong.

Dash Down Greenville 5K (8am)

If you’re feeling more competitive, compete in the 24th annual St. Paddy’s Dash Down Greenville 5K. Dress in as much green as you possibly can and be rewarded with a post-race party to celebrate with beer, food, a live band and prizes.

Details here

Goat Yoga Richardson (10am & 12pm)

Head over to Goat Yoga Richardson to zen out with adorable mini goats. You can attempt to collect green beads from them as they leap on and around you. The class is open to all levels, but goat cuddling skills are a plus.

McKinney Shamrock Run (9am)

Pretend like you’re chasing a rainbow to reach a pot of green beer for this fun run in McKinney. The 5K begins and ends at TUPPS Brewery in historic Cotton Mill. Irish music, dancing and food trucks will follow the race.

Shamrock & Brawl at The Barre Code (10am)

On Saturday morning, The Barre Code is hosting a 75-minute kickboxing-inspired bootcamp at the Plano studio. For $35 for non-members and $20 for members, the class includes green beer and prizes.

Four Leaf Yoga Flow (10am)

Active-lifestyle brand Outdoor Voices and Bar & Garden Dallas are teaming up to start your St. Patrick’s Day off right. The free event begins with a Four Leaf Yoga Flow class taught by VITAL Fitness Studio’s Bobby Candelas.

*{Tragically, the class just sold out, but you can still enjoy a green juice cocktail tasting at the super lovely (and super green) liquor store all day.}
