This is the eye of the storm, the holiday lull between Thanksgiving and Christmas, followed by the gale force destruction of New Year’s Eve. Enjoy the peace and calm.
It’s half-price whiskey and a movie night at Sundown at Granada. The whiskey: Your call. The movie: Not up to you, unfortunately. Hope you like the 1994 Jim Carrey vehicle The Mask, which I loved when I was 13 years old.
If you haven’t yet been to the Kimbell in Fort Worth to see its ongoing exhibition of work from Monet’s early years, you should take care of that. It is pretty swell.
The Scrooge Puppet Theatre is underway, with the cantankerous old man delightfully berating children at the bottom of every hour.
