Hardin County GOP Official: I Hate Vermont and the “Maggots” Who Reelected President Obama

From the Star-Telegram’s Bud Kennedy:

One party official from Southeast Texas calls for — not secession — separation.

“Why should Vermont and Texas live under the same government?” writes Hardin County Republican treasurer Peter Morrison, a Ron Paul supporter and author of a race-heavy Tea Party newsletter.

“Let each go her own way,” he writes, demanding an “amicable divorce” from the U.S. and from the “maggots” who re-elected President Obama.

When Kennedy got Hardin County Republican Party Chairman Kent Batman* on the phone: “OK, well — I guess I need to start taking a look at his newsletters.”

Probably a wise move, as Morrison went on to disparage Asian-Americans and Hispanics.

* HOLY SURNAME BATMAN. What’s the etymology of that? Does he come from a long line of baseball bat-makers? Or literal half-men/half-bats?

“Oh, did I mention that Morrison was chosen by former State Board of Education Chairman Don McLeroy to help screen Texas public school textbooks?”

  • Tim Rogers

I hope he pronounces it the right way. Not BAT-mun.

    • South Texan

Yup. “Batman” like “superman” and proud of it. Shouldn’t be though.

Is that Dubious Brother or Avid Reader?

Peter Morrison is a prime example of the vermin that is creating the cancer that is slowly eating away at the political process in the US. I wonder how such a right wing nut extremist as Morrion ever was considered for any position in the Republican Party. You can rest assure that the Republican Party will continue to digress with the likes of individuals such as Mr. Morrison.

    • Mark Johnston

Right, there are extremists in the GOP too, but most of us are moderate people. We see imbeciles on the left being spoon fed depravity and eating it up like mind-numbed robots and it scares us. We are quirky that way.

I hate to break it to yall but, this man is no more sane in person than he seems from this paragraph or two…. Makes the rest of us here down in Texas sound “Bat” -shit crazy (couldn’t resist)
