The fellas over at We Shot JR have kindly pointed us toward the MySpace page of Plumbrella, the new outfit led by Deep Ellum vet Bob Watson. There, you can hear a handful of tracks off what I assume is a forthcoming album produced by Chad Lovell and Jeff Liles. (We agree with Stonedranger: “Could Would End” is the keeper.) Watson, whom you may recall from Shallow Reign, has assembled a backing band that features nothing but solidness: Dave Monsey on bass, Mike Graff on guitar, and Joe Butcher on pedal steel and a few other things. Good soundtrack for the lazy last days of summer.
