That titular quote from another officer goes to the heart of what’s wrong with the mentality of some cops — that is, when they forget they, too, are citizens with no more rights than anyone else. A lot of people say that you shouldn’t judge cops so harshly. But it’s precisely because of the position they hold they need to be held to higher standards.
