Good Luck, Stephen Fielder

070806_contest_p233.jpgFor only the second time (that I know of), the Dallas-Fort Worth area can lay claim to a finalist in the New Yorker Cartoon Caption Contest. Two years ago — nearly to the day — Dallas psychiatrist Harold Cronson made it to the final three. More recently, in the August 20, 2007, issue, Stephen Fielder of Arlington has made the cut. His caption for the cartoon at left:

“Yeah, but the weirdest thing was, once he built it I suddenly felt compelled to give him a list of things to do around it.”

Good stuff. Sadly, it appears as though the voting is closed. Winner is announced next Monday.
