SCOTUS MAKES MY DAY

Non-Dallas point of personal privilege: Some of you know that I’m leaving D this week (won’t dwell on that outside the Monk) to take a job with the Teaching Tolerance project of the Southern Poverty Law Center.

The Bush-tilted U.S. Supreme Court, which earlier ruled, among other things, in favor of free speech for big political soft-money spenders and against free speech for high school pranksters, has now moved to undermine, if not overturn, Brown v. Board of Education. I can only say, thanks, ideologically driven, robe-wearing dudes: Game on. See you in Alabama.
