ROBERT WILONSKY OFFENDS HOMESCHOOLERS

|

A tuned-in FrontBurnervian says Wilonsky is on a roll:

Not only did his blog pick up that award, but he ascended to the heights of popular American film criticism with a recent appearance on Ebert and Roper, filling in for none other Mr. Ebert. Can’t really get any more high profile for a film critic. His appearance has already made its way into his wiki entry (which no doubt the Fingers keeps himself).

I happened to catch about half the show, and Fingers was brilliant, even making Roper look kind of dumb for defending some of the aweful flicks they were reviewing that night. I thought Bob’s tearing apart of Nancy Drew was especially literate and hillarious. Others didn’t find it so funny.

No kidding. The homeschoolers have apparently launched an e-mail campaign against Robert. Poor guy.
