ANGELA TO WICK: YOU’RE TOO KIND, SIR

|

For the record, Councilmember Angela Hunt, having coasted to an easy reelection in District 14 (yay!), responds to Wick’s suggestion that the mayoral election would be the referendum on the Trinity tollway/parkway:

I’ve given Wick’s offer a lot of thought, and I’m going to have to decline.

Footnote: If it were a referendum, the Trinity project would proceed apace. Both Leppert and Oakley favor the project as is. All six of the candidates who backed Hunt’s petition to re-vote on the tollway, including her main man, TXI board member Sam Coats, were defeated. But we’re pretty sure this ain’t over.
