A legal-working FBvian who likes Sam Coats thinks I’m being unfair to both him and Zac:
Sam is getting some well deserved attention now; the people who see him the most (the other mayoral candidates ) know that he’s qualified for the job, that he’s a quality guy and that if they don’t win he should. So why jump on poor Zac and his endorsement — which he really didn’t have to do. Sam is highly regarded in business circles and was asked to be on this important board ; he also understands environmental issues. What’s bad about that. You and Wick don’t think he can win — and you’ve made that plain in your writings. But he’s a quality guy — and maybe things are beginning to go his way. Face it your man — Leppert — isn’t doing so well!!
Two things for the record:Â Leppert isn’t my “man” (or “woman,” just to be clear). Doubtfully Wick’s, either, but as an HP resident, Wick is not voting in a Dallas election, as his column in this month’s D magazine points out. I do admit that the idea of being for the same candidate as Our Esteemed Publisher gives me hope for all of humankind, and also a powerful need to adjourn to Louie’s immediately.
