JOHN WILEY PRICE DOESN’T LIKE THE MID CITIES

|

As loyal FBvians know, I get excited about driving to work on Thursdays. Because that’s when Commissioner Price does his show, Liberation Nation, on KNON 89.3. I dig the show because you never know what’s going to come out of Price’s mouth. This morning, I thought he was going to disappoint me. Blah, blah, something about a convention of black social workers. Boring stuff. Until I pulled into the parking garage. JWP threw it to a break thusly (from memory):

[with a hip-hop tune gaining volume in the background] “Good morning to Fort Worth and the Mid Cities, the Aunt Jemima capital of the world. It’s true. They got Aunt Jemima leadership. But not you, Kathleen. We’ll be right back with Liberation Nation, the voice of the people. Hell. The action of the people. Make a difference. Action! Action! ACTION!”
