WORST WINE NEWS

|

Tim Permenter, owner and seller of Best Cellars, writes:

I read your blog a couple of weeks ago and yes, Best Cellars is up for sale. New York wants to buy it and there are so many new entries into the wine retail market that we thought it was a good time to sell. They were supposed to close the deal back in January but couldn’t come up with funding. They now say it is almost final and they will be ready to close soon.

Bummer. I love this place and Tim and his partner Dan Ballenger. Let’s hope the New York office hires a local wino to keep it cozy and personal. Darryl Beeson, are you out there?
