CULBREATH GOES STALIN

|

Channel 11 broadcast last night almost slapstick footage (had it not been true) of Planning Commission Chair Betty Culbreath, aka the Best and Only Black Friend of Mayor Laura Miller, going bonkers last week with Commissioner Neil Emmons over a charter school issue. Culbreath then tried to have security guards escort Emmons from the hearing. Which they didn’t do because it would have been illegal. Also stupid but that’s a more subjective judgment.

Commissioners Angela Marshall and Clarence Gary think it’s time for Culbreath to go, but Channel 11’s Jack Fink reports that the mayor’s office “supports” Culbreath. However, they’re going to be getting a copy of the video for a looksee.

So, will Miller can the political anachronism Culbreath, her Best and Only Black Friend, for an unprofessional tantrum and stalinist purge inclinations? Holdeth not thy breath.
