RE: KUDOS

A web-browsing FBvian formerly from Dallas but now in Austin has a theory on why the DMN didn’t get best online from APME this year:

I found it interesting that DMN placed out of the money against their Texas competition in website and newspaper. As for the website, its very simple – if you’re on dial up internet access (perhaps along with like minded geezers who like their stock data a day late) you cannot easily view the DMN website. What a pisser: better museums, better downtown, better entertainment district, better county pro-football team, AND better newspaper. Of course, they don’t have D magazine….or magnificent bridges…or even a decent blog. I rather enjoy the Austin AS. Not too bad.
