Pulitzers are great and everything, but the News would rather have subscribers. I just hung up with a kind woman calling from Arizona to offer me a subscription to the paper for $1.50 per week (up to 15 weeks). As a bonus, she said I could also elect, for that same $1.50 per week, to subscribe to my choice of magazines. D Magazine was not among the options, so I took a pass.
