This July, Fort Worth’s Bishop T.D. Jakes will be a featured speaker at the Aspen Ideas Festival. The other speakers are mostly no-name C-list folks like Madeleine Albright, James Bennet, Ben Bradlee, Nora Ephron, Alan Greenspan, Norman Lear, Jim Lehrer, Sandra Day O’Connor, Bob Schieffer, E.O. Wilson, and on and on. Haven’t heard of one of them. Jakes’ popularity must really be sinking.
