RE: CHILDREN’S

|

In the interest of fairness, this comment from a child-rearing FBvian:

I personally have had only positive experiences at Children’s. (Relating to my kids, that is–I don’t think I was ever there as a kid.) Last year, my wife and I had a baby delivered by emergency C-section at another hospital. Long story short, we left that hospital after 3 days, then after one night at home we (sick baby, post partum mom, and I) went right back to Children’s for a week. It was a scary, terrible situation–no one likes to have their 3-day-old infant dangerously sick, not eating, losing weight, lethargic–but the doctors and staff at Children’s made that week during the holidays as good of a situation as it could have been.

All that’s to say, not all of the stories or anecdotes from Children’s are bad–mine is far from it–and I’ve now got a healthy 1-year-old kiddo who was definitely not OK when we got to Children’s last year. Just wanted you to know there are people out there who think Children’s does good. Thanks.
