UM, WAIT. MATTIE ROBERTS IS NOW LOOKING FOR WORK.

|

Mattie Roberts says she was notified moments ago by station management that she has been let go by Channel 11. Though “let go” might not be the right term, since she wasn’t technically employed by the station. Mattie was working on a contract basis. Channel 11 was told by its NYC brass to cut all freelance reporters. So that new show that Channel 11 was planning just last week is also now kaput. Mattie stressed that Jim Walker’s departure has nothing to do with this news. And she says she’s counting her blessings. “I’ve got a roof over my head, all my worldly possessions weren’t swept away by a hurricane, and I’ve got a good husband,” she says.

So if anyone’s got a gig, pass it along. I’m now acting as Mattie’s agent.
