I echo what the earlier post said about WWL’s Herculean effort. Most employees there lost their homes and possessions, yet are still providing an around-the-clock newscast that is very well-done. It is indeed a corporate effort- WFAA, KHOU (Houston) and KVUE (Austin) are providing extra satellite trucks to help WWL stay on the air, and KHOU/WFAA web staff are both hosting the live stream of WWL’s signal to make it available to as many people as possible (also helped by the IT folks’ dedication of major bandwidth to their signal). The site is getting millions of pageviews each day, and the video stream’s views alone are constantly in the tens of thousands.
