What a great weekend for football-obsessed Dallasites! SMU stuns crosstown rival TCU, ranked No. 22 in the country, 21-10, easily the biggest win in 20 years. Then No. 2-ranked Texas comes from behind to win a thriller against No. 4-ranked Ohio State, 25-22, in front of a record 105,500 fans in Columbus, Ohio. A Dallas investment banker who went to the game (and has seen just about everything in his life), said he has never witnessed anything like the sea of humanity in Ohio. Then, yesterday, our much-maligned Cowboys looked sharp, cocky, and professional in their exciting come-from-behind win over the San Diego Chargers, 28-24. Even the New Orleans Saints enjoyed an unexpected, emotional win. It’s going to be a good week in Big D.
