Nope, he’s not a lesbian. Yes, we are both right-handed pitchers. Yes, we’ve both pitched in Oakland–he, a game and a few chairs; me, a drunken fit in the press box. Give up? We’re both on the DL. You see, yesterday my hand doctor (Timmy, you are so dirty minded) who used to be the hand doctor for the Texas Rangers (stop it) gave me cortisone injections directly into the joints of my wrists. When I called him this morning to tell him that my hands were numb, he said, “Nancy, do not type. I put baseball players on the DL for at least 3 days after these shots.” So, FrontBurnervians, IJS–I am playin’ hurt. Therefore, you should give until it hurts. But, he did send over some delightful little dolls for me to play with. Dang, no more heavy machinery for me today.
