PC PEOPLE: ONCE AGAIN, TEXAS’ BEST

The Texas Press Association handed out awards for excellence this weekend at its annual Better Newspaper Contest. Drum roll? Park Cities People won the Sweepstakes Award as “Best Weekly Newspaper in Texas” for the 12th time. Many staff members were honored, including Glenn Arbery and Paige Phelps for column writing, Mike Innocenzi and our production team for Best Design, Jeremy Chesnutt for photography, and others. The Best Large Daily Newspaper award went to the Austin American-Statesman and the Best Semi Weekly was publisher Roy Eaton’s Wise County Messenger. Kudos to Jason Heid, PCP’smanaging editor who wins no awards personally but had his hands in everything. Great job!
