Thanks for all the advice I got on Sith. I wound up taking my 6-year-old boy to it yesterday, with the agreement that he couldn’t complain if I covered his eyes in parts.
Him, just as the movie is starting: “But, Dad, why can’t I see someone get their arms cut off? I saw the ice monster get his arm cut off in The Empire Strikes Back.”
Me: “Ice monsters are different. You’re not old enough yet to see real people get their arms cut off.”
Anyway, he got his eyes covered about four times. And he reported no scary dreams last night. So I don’t think Sith left him with any long-lasting emotional scars. (Quite a spectacle, by the way. Not the best movie I’ve ever seen but quite a spectacle.)
