I got 99 problems but brunch ain’t one! 🤓🦋 . #SXSW is over. #spring has sprung. It’s the season of brunchin’ in patios, maxi dresses, bluebonnets and chanclas, because #texasyall 🐛🌵 . A #tbt to last Sunday while on 6th street, stopped at @eurekaaustin to have brunch. Ended up getting all the bites, because options. They have a great happy hour menu. At my base again lol…..The sun's out….weather is warm…Perfect day for a Chamoy Mango, eh?! . What is it you might ask? It's a Mexican mango drink with pureed mangoes, hits of lime in a chili Tajin seasoning & Chamoy. Chamoy is a sweet condiment sauce made from a pickled stone fruit. Topped with chopped mango – you get it all – sweet, savory, spicy with a hit of salt…..a tastebud fiesta in your mouth! Olé! . Earlier this week I found myself in @bishoparts with 10 mins to spare before my reservation at @macellaio_dallas. You know I wasn’t about to waste that time when @emporiumpies is right across the street. So naturally I did some pre-dinner dessert. The Cloud 9 is, for many Dallasites, considered to be the best pie at Emporium. It’s a dang good pie with caramel, butterscotch custard, and a thick layer of brown sugar merengue. It’s only around for the spring so I’d recommend you don’t miss it. However, we welcome Basic Beach back in the summer so there’s a silver lining with its departure. Either way just eat the pie.
