If you love getting up close and personal with the fried wonders created each year for the State Fair of Texas, then you need to buy tickets to 13th Annual Big Tex Choice Awards ceremony on August 27. For $100, you will receive one admission to the State Fair, a Fair-branded baseball cap, and a commemorative Big Tex refillable cup. Plus, you get the chance to taste the competition’s 10 finalists which were announced last week.
The judging for this year’s Best Taste Sweet, Best Taste Savory, and Most Creative will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Here are the competitors:

Don’t forget: Sunday, August 27 at 2 p.m. in the historic Tower Building in Fair Park (3809 Grand Ave.). Tickets are $100 and are available, as are photos of all of the finalists, HERE. All proceeds from the ceremony will be donated to the State Fair of Texas Youth Scholarship Program.
