Hallo-week has arrived, and it’s bringing some promising culinary events with it. Spice up your typical Halloween with a little something extra this year. No shame in starting the party early, of course.

Wednesday

Libertine Bar Beer Dinner
The Libertine Bar welcomes you and your costume to a ghoulish beer dinner on Wednesday evening. They’re hauling out the good stuff from the cellars for this one with several unique and rare beers you may not have encountered before. Pull up a seat at 7 p.m. and enjoy an evening of witchy brews. Call 214-824-7900 to grab your $65 ticket.

Stephan Pyles and Coquerel Wines Dinner
If you feel like spending a little extra for a classy affair, then snag yourself a $125 spot at Stephan Pyles’ wine dinner. Chef Pyles is teaming up with Coquerel Wines to present a four-course wine-paired sure-to-be-delicious meal at his flagship location. Call 214-580-7000 to purchase a seat. The event starts at 6:30 p.m.

Thursday

Resto x 44 Farms Dinner
Resto Gastro Bistro is hosting a night to remember. For $55 (or $75 with wine pairings), you can snag a spot at a carefully crafted four-course dinner brought to you in collaboration with 44 Farms. Dishes will be Asian-inspired and include Togarashi steak tartar, Vietnamese papaya salad, and more. Ring 214-584-6747 to make a reservation.

Saturday

Halloween Murder Mystery Dinner
If you’ve found yourself daydreaming about playing in a real-life Clue game, Messina Hof Winery has got the party for you. The winery is hosting a Halloween Murder Mystery Dinner from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. this Saturday. Come prepared with your best deceased-celebrity (or fictional character) costume and a sharp eye. The crime is a heinous one, and everyone is a suspect. Tickets to this spooky experience are $69 and include a four-course dinner paired with award-winning Messina Hof wines. Dial 817-442-8463 for the chance to stroll down the bloody red carpet, but watch out for the body outline.

Lower Greenville Trick-or-Treat
Get the kids excited for the night with a little trick-or-treat warm up on Lower Greenville. The party starts early at 11 a.m. More than 10 vendors and restaurants in the area will be open for trick-or-treaters, candy in hand. Make sure the kids stop by Greenville Avenue Pizza Co. for a free candy-topped pizza!

Ida Claire Halloween Soirée
When it comes to Halloween, Ida Claire doesn’t play around. An epic party will kick off at 10 p.m. and includes a costume contest. Sip specially priced punches, juleps, draft beers, and other spooky concoctions. There’s a scary movies screening all night in the garden, a a witches’ den hiding out in the Airstream, and, of course, photo booths to help you remember the evening during your Hallo-hangover.

Sunday

Dia de Los Puercos
Cure your burgeoning hangover with a face full of tacos. Local taquerias and breweries are coming together to celebrate all things pork at Four Corners Brewing Co. The event is on Sunday and runs from 3 p.m. until 7p.m. Food-induced-naps are the best cure for a long Halloween night, after all.
