This weekend’s events are particularly family-oriented, so tell the babysitter she’s off the hook and bring the kids out for a fun (and food) filled weekend. On second thought, bring the babysitter along anyway, you don’t want to miss the wine and beer available at these sweet soirées.

Come As You Are Wine Dinner “A Taste of France” at The Grape
Foray into the French countryside at The Grape this Thursday for their three-course bistro menu with selected French wine pairings for each. Each table will be visited by the host and wine expert of the evening to discuss the wines designated for the dinner. Dining is available any time between 5:30 and 9 p.m. for $52 per person, but reservations are highly recommended.

Pizza in the Park
Who doesn’t love a Friday night full of wine, pizza, and live music? Messina Hof Winery is serving up all three from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. this Friday evening. Bring the whole family out and enjoy the still summery weather, no reservations necessary.

Park & Palate
Klyde Warren Park is throwing a party all weekend long, and inviting some of Dallas’ biggest culinary hotshots and winemakers. Enjoy a hearty serving of comfort food Friday evening, but make sure you’re warmed up and ready for the Grand Tasting Saturday afternoon.

Fort Worth Oktoberfest
Panther Island Pavilion is bringing Germany to Texas this weekend with their very own version of Oktoberfest. Celebrate the greatest holiday of the year with German food, drinks, dancing, games, and dachshund races. The event runs this Thursday and Friday from 5 to 10 p.m., and all day Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
